Sprinter Service A vs Service B: What Each One Actually Covers

Service A and Service B are not the same job. Knowing the difference keeps your Sprinter on the right maintenance track.
The basic difference
Service A is the lighter, more frequent visit, centered on an oil and filter change with a safety look over. Service B is the larger visit that adds more filters and inspections. The van alternates between them on a schedule the onboard system tracks.
What we actually do
At Service A we change the oil with the correct MB 229.52 synthetic, replace the filter, reset the counter, and inspect the brakes, tires, and fluids. At Service B we add items like the fuel filter, cabin filter, and a more thorough inspection depending on mileage.
We follow the Mercedes schedule but also adjust for how you drive. A Riverside van doing heavy stop and go or towing benefits from a tighter interval than the sticker suggests.
Why the counter matters
Resetting the service counter with the right tool keeps the reminder accurate. If a previous shop reset it wrong, the van may be asking for the wrong service. We set it correctly so your maintenance stays on track.
